If you look for a nourishing breakfast dessert that is plantbased (even glutenfree) and fuels you up for the day, then you have come to the right place. Today, I am sharing my 3 favorite dessert smoothie bowls with you! As far as the comparison to a dessert goes, I love creaminess in desserts so this is what I want for my smoothie bowls too. Therefore, as the basis for my dessert smoothie bowls I use organic bananas because you simply cannot beat the taste and nutritious level of a banana, really.
This Peanut Butter Banana Dessert Bowl is my go-to-smoothie bowl if I feel like having a dessert for breakfast or even during the day. Oftentimes, this would be a fast nice cream alternative when I have actually forgotten to freeze my bananas. So in order to make this Peanut Butter Banana Bowl, add the bananas, vanilla, lucuma and peanut butter to your blender and mix until creamy. Transfer to a bowl and top with an extra banana and add cocoa nibs for a little crunch.
Peanut Butter Banana Dessert Smoothie Bowl
- 2 bananas
- 2 tbsp crunchy all natural peanut butter
- pinch of vanilla
- lucuma powder
- decoration: 1 banana sliced lengthwise or any fruit you love, cocoa nibs, maple syrup (if you like it sweeter)
The Cocoporridge Bowl (oat-free) to me is an amazing mixture between a porridge and a smoothie bowl. I have this if I feel quite hungry as it is especially filling. This bowl is very enjoyable during the winter months as it’s slightly warm. Add the banana, cinnamon, vanilla and maca to your blender and mix until creamy. In your bowl mix the coconut flour with the hot oat milk and hot water. Now add your banana puree to the cocoporridge mixture and stir well. Top with strawberries and blueberries, extra cinnamon and cocoa nibs.

- pinch of ground vanilla

- 1/2 cup hot oat milk
- 1/2 cup hot water (add more if it is still too thick)
- decoration: berries, cocoa nibs, buckwheat groats
This is a perfect combo when you cannot decide between chocolate and fruit. For the Tropical Chocolate Dessert bowl add the 2 bananas, cacao powder and vanilla to your blender and mix until creamy. Remove from the blender and transfer into your breakfast bowl. Clean the blender and add the dragonfruit and one more banana and blend until soft and creamy. Add to one half of your bowl and decorate with granola, cacao nibs and homemade chocolate sauce.
